I've had these lights for 2 years and this weekend I finally gave up and replaced everything with channelless halo leds. Why? 1. I bought these because they were a lot cheaper than the home store (Heimdepot/Lowe's) and I thought since they are IC rated with LEDs this would be great. That's the first problem. After installing the first 2 rooms (8 bulbs) I found they didn't have a sticker showing they were IC certified, in fact the page says you can't mount them in contact with the insulation . I checked with an electrician buddy and they won't pass the test. So I had to put Rockwall covers on the headlights. It added $15 for the light.2. The wire nuts that come with it are rubbish. In the last 2 years I've had to replace over half the wire nuts because they wouldn't stay on the wires. It was a royal pain and there was always 1 or 2 that had an intermittent connection that required reinserting and checking connections.3. The Gu10 plugs keep losing contact with the bulbs. I've had 4 in the last few months that just stopped working and found that the Gu10 bulb connection wasn't making good contact with the bulb. That was the last straw and I just replaced them with a $27 lamp each. It may sound expensive, but when you factor in the cost of buying tubes, their IC rating, and bad connection issues, it's just not worth it. Please spend a little more and get quality, you will be much happier
