These lights are awesome, they look amazing and my kids love to spin.

These are fantastic lights, they look amazing and my kids love to turn them on. I removed some of the lamps in our living room because we have so much light now. Two downsides: the connectors that come with the headlights are designed for the 16-18 gauge wire, not the 14/2 you need to use to connect, and they don't come with the bulbs, but that's fine, I think.

Pros
  • sequins
Cons
  • sad hardware

They work and look great after the initial installation

I installed 20 of these around my house the day before in 2015. They work and look fine after initial installation, but the white caps (the only visible part after installation) have started to rust and look shabby. In addition, on three lights, the aluminum strips (springs) holding the light in place failed due to tension on the strip at power up, resulting in the light not being secured and not flush with the bezel. I want to replace spring washers but don't know where to find them.

Pros
  • A dream come true
Cons
  • I vaguely remember

They look great and really transformed the room

I am renovating and installed 30 of these lights in my apartment using Bioluz LED bulbs and Lutron Diva dimmers. They look amazing and really transform the room. Installation did not present any particular difficulties, most of the time was taken up by wiring. 30 light bulbs consume only 195 watts, which is equivalent to 3-4 ordinary light bulbs. 10 Pack Bioluz LED GU10 Dimmable Halogen Equivalent 50W 6.5W 3000K 120V UL Listed (10 Pack)

Pros
  • Great for me
Cons
  • poorly thought out

Perfect solution if you now have a floor above you but only have an attic

Easy to install - if you only have an attic above you. It's always important to have a case where the insulation can touch the case - this is fine if you're using LED bulbs and has a sensor to avoid overheating - the bulbs can be rotated in any direction you want - the cost is reasonable - now I would always prefer a small cross section to a larger cross section and it looks amazing - I have combined it with 7W 5000k dimmable led lights and the effect is just what I expected for our kitchen…

Pros
  • Expensive but decent

Seems like a good price but 2 years later I had to replace them

I've had these lights for 2 years and this weekend I finally gave up and replaced everything with channelless halo leds. Why? 1. I bought these because they were a lot cheaper than the home store (Heimdepot/Lowe's) and I thought since they are IC rated with LEDs this would be great. That's the first problem. After installing the first 2 rooms (8 bulbs) I found they didn't have a sticker showing they were IC certified, in fact the page says you can't mount them in contact with the insulation . I

Pros
  • Certified
Cons
  • Negative present

I bought 20 of these downlights for general main floor lighting. I have used 10 in a 15 x 17 area (plus ceiling fan in the centre) and 9 in a 10 x 13 kitchen and there is enough light if you use a 5w GU10 LED bulb with a 120 beam angle degrees and dimmable 3000 K use . The main thing is a spread of 120 degrees so that there are no shadows and spots. (If that's what you want). Good quality. When you first open them you might think they are pretty cheap, but they are very well made and look great

Pros
  • High marks for support and durability from testers
Cons
  • Not as thick as other options

Beautiful but very thin tin boxes!

Good light but not great! I hired them to solve the hallway lighting problems in my house. It was built with a single lightbulb. After studying their design, I decided to check them out. Bought from stock they had bent flanges but the powder coating was not chipped or scratched. The flanges popped up easily with a push of the thumb, like new! However, they are very light! Built-in junction boxes are just as thin! I usually use a Romex 12/2 with a separate "split" box to connect the old wiring…

Great lighting, great price and IC value when used with LED bulbs

Bought these recessed lights to match my unsightly rail could upgrade lighting. There is quite a bit of confusion as to whether these flashlights are IC certified or not. IC stands for "insulated contact" or the ability to install devices surrounded by insulation without fear of setting fire to the home. So I went ahead and contacted Globe Electric customer service and they confirmed that this model does indeed have an IC rating when used with LED bulbs. As an added safety feature, there is a…
