Great - with a few very minor issues

I love these things. I bought these because I have a phone and a Kindle with micro USB and a few tablets with USB-C. Now I can charge them all with one cable. And they're so easy to connect: I slowly bring the device (with the tip already inserted, of course) to the cable, and bingo, they snap into place. Brilliant. I can confirm that they allow both charging and data transfer. I only have 2 small issues, neither of which deserve an asterisk. First, when you remove the phone by pulling in a straight line, the magnetic micro-USB tip often stays attached to the cable (instead of staying in the phone). This does NOT happen with USB-C devices as the USB-C tips "snap" into the device. But IMHO the problem is not with these cables and lugs; the problem is that micro usb doesn't snap into place as tightly as usb-c. So if you only have USB-C devices, you're spot on (I can't comment on Apple devices). With Micro-USB, this problem is easy to work around - just learn to detach the tip from the cable by "bending" the magnetic end of the cable away from the tip, rather than trying to separate it by pulling in a straight line to separate. The second small downside is that the cables have VERY bright LEDs. They will help you find the cable in the dark. But if you like it when your bedroom is very dark, these damn things are like night lights. So I carefully wrapped them with black electrical tape. The light is almost 100% closed, and even in the dark, I can easily connect the phone to the cable. I have the cord in a small plastic clip taped to the top of my bedside table. Even in the dark I know where it is, and as I carefully move the phone over the top of the bedside table to the clip, I hear a pleasant click as they connect. And I'm going to sleep.

Pros
  • cables and accessories
Cons
  • boring packaging
