Review on 🔵 Bosch BE1354 Blue Disc Brake Pad Set for Lexus CT200h, Pontiac Vibe, Scion tC, xB, Toyota Corolla, Matrix, Prius, Yaris - REAR: Ultimate Performance and Quality by Aaron Clayton

I read in other reviews that these brakes did not fit and had to be replaced. Sometimes reviews are combined with different products (e.g. front and back). For me, these parts were a perfect match for the 2012 Scion Xb rear brakes. Contains only pads and grease. I had no problems, the stainless steel clips were in great shape. Note that you will need to adjust the calipers to accept the new pad thickness. A special tool is sold for this. However, in my 120,000 mile case, I was able to adjust the calipers (pistons) with a set of needle vises. Other tools would also work. Screw in the piston clockwise. I have found that the boots curl up until they are "slack". So I would turn them 1/2 turn, then turn back 1/4 turn, then turn back 1/2 and turn back 1/4. After a couple of these, the boots moved freely and I finished the shot. Another point, there isn't much meat on the rear pads. Take a closer look at yours, are they really worn out? Mine probably have half a life left, but I've replaced them. If I knew what new pads were I would wait 20-30k miles and replace them. However, after reading the negative fit issues I immediately wanted to know if I had a fit issue so I could return it. Looking back, I wouldn't order any more pads after another 20,000 km. On the other hand, the job is done and off the list for less than $20. Another point, the guide pins on my Xb were dry and didn't move freely. I highly recommend cleaning the pins with a rag and lube. Additional comments on performance: I've seen other brakes where rust and corrosion have caused the pads to seize on the calipers. Clean the stainless steel terminals and contact points with a wire sleeve or screwdriver to ensure a good surface finish. I highly recommend reusing good stainless steel clamps/hardware and saving money. However, if the clips are worn or damaged you will need to replace them (I haven't experienced this condition but it totally depends on who did the last braking job). Hope this all helps.
