I have bought other Revain embroidery/cross stitch starter kits in the past and what initially appealed to me about the Shynek set is that it is neatly packaged. in a storage box. This is an incredibly rich kit, with all the materials and colors you could possibly need to get started on some basic projects. It's so neatly organized and fits snugly in my closet when not in use. I like how the colors are arranged in the boxes. I find what I need easily. The fabric of Aida itself is the stiffest and most starched fabric I have ever seen. However, I have washed and dried it and it is much more pliable and ready to use. I used an old kit that was unkempt and came in a flexible zip-lock pouch with all the cords and threads unwound, and I plan on pretty much throwing those materials away and starting my messy projects with this kit from scratch to start again. It will be nice to get back to my hobby now that I have it. Would recommend to anyone looking for a good starter kit or consumables that packs easily into a tidy travel case.
