These things would hold a giant squirrel in place. if for some reason you wanted to do that! Honestly they may be too sticky. I use them to hold my GIANT cup o'coffee (think huge ceramic soup mug) on the dash. One holds my radar detector in place. NO more annoying suction cups popping loose while I'm driving.With the cup of coffee, I have to be careful removing it, because seriously - these pads are crazy sticky and getting them to let go requires a bit of finesse since I don't want coffee flying all over. I've been using these for several weeks and now that the pad has been on my dash a while, it's not quite as sticky (dust accumulation, general stuff that adheres to the surface) which sounds gross, but is a good thing. Still ridiculously sticky, but not like retrieving an artifact from the Le Brea Tar Pits sticky.On that note, they are highly cleanable - a little soap & water and they're back to gravity-defying stickiness again.
