I bought this bra to use immediately after breast reduction surgery. I found the bra fit as expected and I am comfortable with cuts. My current height is 39 inches around the strap and 44 inches at the widest part of the chest. The 40 inch band size fits me comfortably but not too tight. And the cups are big enough to easily fit my new cup size, which should be DD (according to the measurements above). The bra offers light support without being too tight. It doesn't compress my breasts and doesn't irritate my incisions at all. I wish the bottom band was a bit wider to put pressure on my ribs instead of right under my chest. That was the only reason I deducted a star from this review. I am planning to buy another bra of exactly the same style with a size 38 strap which I will wear once my swelling has gone down. I expect these bras will be great sleeping and lounging bras after my healing time indoors. I also see them as very helpful for breastfeeding mothers who need gentle support. I have no hesitation in recommending this bra to other women I know. In fact, I've already posted a link to this bra in a breast reduction group I'm a member of to recommend it to others in my situation. Good postoperative bras are usually very expensive. I'm very glad I found this cheap solution.
