I had a very hard time attaching the leg and fork. After I finally got them on, I put them under the doorknob. When I took it off, the connector fell off. I received mine yesterday and they are packaged and ready to be returned. I do not recommend.

Do not buy this. Even if measured, not the fact that it will fit. There are slits through the gaps. You place the inner strip inside a larger strip with a button that already fits into the larger strip's slots. So a patio door louver is unlikely to fit. Also, trying to see if it fits will scratch the smaller bar you're putting in. I don't know if it can be returned or not.

Used for the first time on holiday. Easy to assemble, seems a bit wobbly if you have the wrong extensions and lengths, and the lengths between the locking pin holes are too far apart to 'fine tune' the length. But after installation I could not move the door by pulling it from inside. Whether it protects against a hard attack I don't know, I didn't want to kick in the door to check it.

Just terrible. The end cap parts are not durable at all. You don't screw into the ends! The bottom part fits a bit when you slide it in, but the top part, which sits under the doorknob, isn't attached to the metal bar and rotates when the bar is wedged under the door. My cat can break down the door with one of them! There is no way to securely fasten it under the door. Total waste of money and it comes back quickly.

I originally ordered the white SecurityMan Bar but it didn't feel secure enough for my front door. My doorknob was taller than a regular doorknob, so it couldn't be mounted the recommended 12" from the door.
