When I bought this product I didn't expect it to bend after a few uses. It does its job as long as it holds the door, but its durability versus that of an adult isn't very good. If it is not properly attached to the door as intended, a person can pierce and literally bend this object. It is not made strong against even a slight push. As said, the latch holds the door as intended but will not withstand an adult push. I do not recommend this product as it is not strong enough. I have two and one is already bent because someone pushed my door once and now the latch knobs are misaligned. It still works, but I can't say if it will hold up when the need really arises.
