Will not stick or stick (no adhesion) to wooden or tile floors. It slips away when the door is opened. Only suitable for carpets. The picture does a disservice by showing the wooden floor. Loud sound in decibels during the test. Frustrated to have it sent back.

I like my door alarm. I use at home and especially when traveling for extra security when staying in a hotel. My son is a police officer and has been using it at home for a number of years and it is very effective. I highly recommend this product and the price is great.

This is the BEST gadget for your home or when you stay in hotels etc. Very easy to use. I ended up giving one of these to my friend. Don't worry if you don't have any additional fitting locks on your doors (e.g. chain lock, striking plate). The alarm clock is quite loud and even scared me while testing it!

really work, but not on every surface. The best surface is carpet, parquet floors and tiles are not good, the doorstop will slide on it. Also, one of my doors is set higher so it doesn't stop the door but hits it and sets off the alarm. So if your door is low and has a rug underneath, then a doorstop will work well.

I have bought over 100 of these and have given each teacher at my grandchildren's schools one in case of quarantine. We had an active shooter lockdown at Perquimans High School a few weeks ago. Luckily no one was hurt but at least I know teachers can secure their doors if needed! I still have to buy 50 pieces, then there will be one in each class in all 4 schools!

I accidentally started opening the door without sounding the alarm and it was quite loud. You have to be very careful when bending over to turn it off first before picking it up, otherwise it will work. I bought them for my apartment and patio door. NOTE: DO NOT attempt to block them. This is fantastic! They are very well built. The door gets stuck in the sloping part and you have to rock it back and forth to pull it out - it won't be damaged because they are strong and durable. It is impossible for anyone to enter my house without hearing it in a dream. Can't match the price, durability and functionality. They are really durable!
