So I used this heated mug exclusively for heating water. I like the fact that the temperature is adjustable, even though the maximum temperature is 158 degrees. The mug has a digital display that shows the current temperature. In addition, there are digital plus and minus buttons that you can use to adjust the temperature. From my testing, it takes about 10 minutes to heat room temperature water to a maximum of 158 degrees. This temperature is just enough to brew green tea. It will also be too hot to touch with bare hands. At the same time, this is not quite the optimal temperature for brewing tea, as it is better to brew at higher temperatures (especially black tea). Aside from that, for my main use I heat water to pour into a baby bottle warmer. Then heat the milk accordingly. For this use case, it was efficient enough for long trips or car rides.
