This pad holder was a great investment, it keeps the pad in place and has a lip all the way around to minimize urinating on the edges . That being said, accidents still happen, so I'd like the shoe holder to be 4 or 5 inches longer on each side. The pillow holder is the same size as a regular sized pillow. So when my dogs urinate around the rim, it flows over the rim and then under the pillow holder. This allows urine to sit between the holder and my hardwood floor, defeating the purpose of this near-perfect product. If the holder were larger my dog's urine would linger from the edges on the pad or holder and I would only have to clean the holder instead of mopping the floors. I gave this product 4 stars because my dogs only urinate over the edge of the pad holder once every 7-10 days, which is a lot less than before. It helps protect my hardwood floors, but like I said, it needs to be something more than a pee pad.
