I used individual USB to USB converters. It's always 1:1. This converter offers 2 ports in about the same space as some 1:1 converters. The materials are superb, as is the build quality. You can feel that it is well made just by holding it in your hands. He does his job and does it well. I've tried different USB devices and had no problems.
