I bought 1/4 inch thick tinted plexiglass, it was perfectly cut and packaged. I shaped it with a wood cutting blade (slow) and it cuts easily with no splinters or melted edges. Somehow. I then rounded the edges, no problem. You could probably get away with the usual twist drill bits in the press (sometimes they can grab and split the plexiglass. It was a very solid piece of tinted plastic that made a great sun visor for me.
