Review on 📸 Nikon SB-400 AF Speedlight Flash: Perfect Lighting Solution for Nikon Digital SLR Cameras by Ham Channell

Having recently bought the D5100 I needed a better flash than the standard pop up flash that came with the camera as the flash can be quite harsh. After reading about it on Ken Rockwell's website, I decided to look into it. I'm far from a camera enthusiast. I also didn't want to take the SB-600 with me everywhere. This flash is actually quite small (fits in the palm of my hand) with a nice carrying case. Installation is easy. The main feature I liked was the pop-up flash, which bounces up to 90 degrees, making for warmer photos than a direct flash. The only thing that worries me is the time you have to wait if you accidentally take 2-3 pictures at once (usually 15-30 seconds but it can feel like minutes if you are in a hurry to take a picture ). Otherwise I don't regret buying the flash. A must for anyone who doesn't want to lug around the big SB-600.
