Products are not perfect. The camera mounting system is a bit fiddly and adjusting the angles takes some patience. I understand that once the cameras are set up, this problem will go away and be quickly forgotten. The biggest complaint I have about the system is that it cannot be controlled remotely. I tucked it away in a back cabinet on the side and a little out of the way. My last DVR had a web interface that allows you to go into the management console and restart, set the time, set default recording options, etc. This DVR doesn't have that option and you need to be close to the unit. Again, this isn't needed often so I can overlook this deficiency as I use the product day in and day out. The reason for the 5 stars is that the picture quality, motion detection functions for recording and playback are all good, especially considering the price. This is the heart of the system which I prefer to the negatives. I would also like to point out that I had some hardware issues. But I contacted the support team and they gave me excellent and prompt support. I never had to pay for return shipping due to some issues I had and the replacement/refund was quick too. Excellent service is why I decided to write this review and why I recommend not only this system but everything from this company.
