If you use the magnifying side, you have to use the controls on the normal side
I really like this vanity mirror, it's light weight but sturdy and it comes in three bright colors. Two complaints. Rechargeable batteries don't last more than a few hours, so they have to be connected to the mains. If I switch the light on or off and only control the lighting from one side, then I have to turn the mirror upside down.
