Buy him something good for his needs but also something that isn't very expensive so it won't break the bank if it breaks like everything else. I love Samsung phones so I was glad to stumble across this one. It is used, but there are no scratches or anything else serious. They also included a charging cable as Type-C is required as well as a USB wall adapter plug. They also published a paper on how to unlock the phone and how to make it use chips from other vendors (I forgot what they are called). The only thing I was really happy about was pretty sure he advertised the phone in black so I bought a black and clear case to go with it but when I got the phone it was actually blue. My boyfriend doesn't care so we left him. The rest are quite happy.
