bought a pack and the readings were quite accurate (confirmed by a calibrated thermometer) and only varied by a little over 1 degree. ordered a second pack and installed them on different aquariums and thought nothing of it. About a week later I looked at the first one I had installed (used less than a month) and panicked when the reading in the tank was about 70. held at 82f+. reached out to check the heater but the water temp was fine. decided to test the other 3 I had by installing them all in the same spot in the same tank. They were all wildly inaccurate and inconsistent (readings 88f, 70f, 74f, and 78f) when the calibrated thermometer read 83. Also, while the probe cup works well, the display didn't stay in place for a while. . Don't waste your money.
