Very impressed with fish and aquatic life

Place all six sensors in a constant temperature 30.6°F terrarium. Checked with a heat gun and the terrarium reached the correct temperature of 88.6 F. So for the price, they're definitely worth it compared to some companies' $11.99 yellow. We check everything several times a day with a thermal gun and so far the last two weeks have been read correctly. So we order more. This is my first 5 star review of the many reviews on Revain.RGM Exotics.

Pros
  • Great for a small home

much more accurate than analogue! GO DIGITAL!

I use one on each side of both reptile habitats. They are MUCH more accurate than analog thermometers! I recommend you to buy digital thermometers instead of analog ones. I used to be one of those people who thought "analogue can't be exact" but it really is! They are great and for the price you can buy them! Update your temporary readers! Oh, and they come with a battery inside the device plus an extra battery as there were 12 batteries in the 6 pack! Each had 1 battery and a spare!

Accurate and good value

I think they are worth the money, much easier to read than the old fashioned tank style floats and sidebars and I find them accurate too. Because I checked the old fashioned float types and they were the same temp I think they are worth the money and a lot easier to manage. The included suction cups seem to stick very well both inside and outside the tank and I really love the fact that you can switch from Fahrenheit to Celsius. I think everyone should have these in their hobby aquarium.

Pros
  • This is amazing

Out of 6, 3 are within 1 degree of each other, 1 within 2 degrees, 1 within 20 degrees. Three of them were within 0.5 degrees of the ice water test. I haven't tried 6 yet. The screen is very easy to read. I got an extra L44 battery for each. The suction cups on the main body are pretty mediocre, they don't stick much (the whiteboard worked) and fall out of the slot that attaches them to the main body. . The sensor cable comes out in a corner, which is very annoying since you can't attach it to…

  • Updates

It still gets a high rating because it's freakin' less than $2 what's the difference if some of them don't work. Non-working ones still give 2 E batteries. In my case, let me experiment with changing the electronic temperature sensor's sensing capabilities (so I can get my hot tub to work above 104) for less than $2 per test instead of $30 $ per exam. For our pool and hot tub we installed them permanently and the entire batch was accurate to within 1/2 degree. Very easy to read. We press to…

Good buy for your money.

I have a lot of tanks at home. I first bought a set of 6 so I could place them in different tanks around the house in combination with my thermostats and control the different heating elements in my tanks. So far I've been very impressed with them. So much so that I bought a second set of 6. I use them in all my reptile tanks and also in my axolotl tank. I don't seem to have any issues or performance differences between dry and wetter aquariums, they seem to work well in both aquariums and very

Very handy, great price

I now have about four of these on each reptile tank to control the temperature at various key points in the terrarium. You can tape, tape or just cover the wires inside the tank so they are not visible. I recommend attaching suction cups where needed for a long term installation. So versatile that I can read temperatures literally anywhere. These small probes can be hidden in skins, under a substrate, in the air, or in a bowl of water. Each thermometer comes with a replaceable battery (in…

Good luck with it, have fun smh

The suction cups fall off overnight. (Glass was cleaned outside) I had to use tape to attach it. It's good that they send extra batteries because if you forget to turn off the power they last less than a week. Others at the same price I have left for years and they still work. Good luck reading the ad. You have to hit the exact angle. The switch on all 6 was loose and had to be pressed at the right angle to read the entire display, otherwise it looks like it's Hate Celsius at half Fahrenheit…

Pros
  • Very impressive
Cons
  • I have no negative feelings about it, it's just good

I kept large cichlid tanks (90 gallon and 75 gallon) 5 years ago and then gave up the hobby. Now I'm back on a much smaller scale with 3 gallon acrylic nano tanks. Unless you're keeping cold-water fish like goldfish, which can thrive in room temperature water, you still need to heat these little nano tanks, so you need to know what the water temperature is. 5 or more years ago, the methods used by aquarists to track water temperature were primitive by today's standards. Sure, they had digital…
