This is a dual thermometer (probe and body) only. There is a clock and an alarm function. It remembers the maximum and minimum temperature. Does not have a temperature alarm as stated in the description. Mostly grossly wrong.

The product I was sent does not match the description. It has no alarm option other than the default alarm clock. Again a very different topic than what is shown. The directions are terrible too. Don't waste your time or money.

Yes, after my aquarium crashed this temperature sensor was in a plastic bag along with other aquarium stuff. Pulled out badly. Guess what? It still works! with the same battery. That impressed me. With most electronic devices, I pulled the battery out of my pocket after a year because it was discharged and the device worked intermittently.

This is not the Life Guard Temp Alert" that was formerly sold and that I wanted to replace. Unfortunately it was a HI/LOW aquarium thermometer with temperature alert Useful, just a simple room alarm -Thermometer. Totally user and not advertised.

This is my second. I wish they were more waterproof. If you accidentally drop it in water for even a brief second, it may or may not come to life after drying. Also, I really like this model. It lasts if you keep it dry and has good reliable function. The alarm helps, sometimes my small pond can get warm in the summer and it lets me know to add ice to cool it down a degree or so.

As other reviewers say, the temperature readings vary by at least 5-7 degrees. I have 3 thermometers in my aquarium (1 on the main display, 1 in the tub and 1 in the overflow box) from different manufacturers and they all read about 78 degrees plus or minus 0.5 degrees. I received 4 of these for a tank kit. The good: a huge display that I can read from across the room, either on a stand or on the side of the tank, and it doesn't use expensive AAA watch batteries.
