The battery lasts a long time and still works after 3 years
Yes, after my aquarium crashed this temperature sensor was in a plastic bag along with other aquarium stuff. Pulled out badly. Guess what? It still works! with the same battery. That impressed me. With most electronic devices, I pulled the battery out of my pocket after a year because it was discharged and the device worked intermittently.
