I now have about four of these on each reptile tank to control the temperature at various key points in the terrarium. You can tape, tape or just cover the wires inside the tank so they are not visible. I recommend attaching suction cups where needed for a long term installation. When the digital display begins to dim, it's time for a new battery. The display can be set to Fahrenheit or Celsius. You can save power by turning off the display (by pressing and holding the power button). These things aren't just useful for keeping pets. Universal.
