My daughter is a size 9 but I ordered 9/10 and her toe is at the very top. She will grow out of these in no time, so I'm ordering a size up and will compare when the other arrives. **Update** I received the larger size and they are perfect. They have a just a little room at the top. These are a little smaller in my opinion - so if it says 9/10 - it's closer to the 9. But they are very cute and perfect for toddlers because the bottom is like tennis shoes.**Update** they don't stay as snug around the ankle but still okay
