Like many others, I believe that I ordered this Reolink security camera because of its 8MP/4K resolution. And the difference in clarity with my 4MP cameras is significant. This camera is much sharper. But not only during the day it is much clearer, but also at night. I really like this Reolink 8MP/4K camera. The physical installation of this camera is very simple. You simply install the camera in the desired location and then simply run a Cat5 cable between the camera and a POE switch, router or NVR. That's all. Setting up this camera as a standalone camera is done using your smartphone or web browser. It's very easy and only takes a few minutes. However, as usual, setting up this camera to work with any ONVIF/NVR security system will almost certainly be a bit more difficult and time consuming. So just plan some time to integrate this camera into your existing system. Just to let you know what's possible, I bought an ONVIF camera a few years ago that no matter how I tried I couldn't get it into my system. Finally, after a few hours, I gave up and sent the camera back. I think this 8MP/4K camera is a great camera overall. Daytime clarity is excellent, nighttime clarity is excellent and smart detection works very well. I think you will have a very hard time finding the best 4K/8MP security camera.
