Metal cutting bar protrudes

I love this tool but when I cut a piece of paper the paper is always wider at the top . After inspection, a metal cutting strip protrudes from the plastic channel, which makes a direct cut impossible. There is a gap between the cutting edge of the metal and the bottom of the channel. If you order one, make sure the metal cutting strip is inserted into the channel when you receive it. It's a great tool as long as I don't cut all the way through the strip of metal.
