I've been building PCs for over 30 years and have never mixed RAM sticks from different manufacturers. To upgrade an older i7-4790 system with 8GB of RAM, I ordered an 8GB (2 x 4GB) DDR3-1600 kit. I received two separately packaged 4GB sticks. Hm. They usually come in a pack of 2 sticks. Anyway, I put them on the motherboard and CPU-Z says one is from Nani and the other is from Kingston. Didn't expect that. Both are also quite old. Year of issue 2013 and 2014 respectively. Both are older than what I already have on my system (2 SK Hynix 4GB sticks made in 2015). They seem to get along, but time will tell. Won't be buying from A-Tech again. This was my first experience with A-Tech and will be my last.
