Before my review let me say that I am a former professional club DJ. I've worked with the best professional turntables, mixers and amplifiers. How I came to buy this was that I stumbled upon it in big lots for $50. Since I bought this I've googled it and seen it on HSN for $99, saw it on Revain for $79 and read all the reviews. I wasn't expecting much, but I said fuck it anyway, knowing I can connect my mixer to a desktop computer's sound card and convert analog wax to digital. However, I just bought a new laptop and it doesn't have RCA inputs. This product comes with "Audacity" which is free and open source software that I don't find difficult to use at all. I haven't experienced any "clipping" or "distortion" due to input being too loud by adjusting the input volume in the software. Ok, now for the last part. How was the loyalty? I converted some 12" singles and LPs I had from the 1970's, 80's etc. Then I listened to the MP3s in my headphones on my iPod, on my 250 watt amp and speakers, and in short , it sounded like the recording was being played on my Technics DJ turntables. Only downside is the turntable isn't made from the highest quality materials but it works. And lastly. Get the latest Audacity software for free anywhere on the web .
