I bought two of these dresses for my daughters, sizes 8 and 4. They usually carry sizes 6x7 and 4T. I ordered for an older girl based on other reviews it was too small and the size was perfect for both. The dresses are very light and correspond to the picture. My daughters love them. BUT they are very cheaply made. They're a good choice for a one-time event, but not for long-term quality. The bow on the front of my youngest daughter's dress fell out when she tried it on for the first time. It worked best. It was just glued on with fabric glue so I could hold it in place, but we preferred to use it as a matching hair bow, which was amazing. My oldest daughter wasn't so lucky. Her bow stayed, but when she first wore the dress, wires began coming out of the hem of her skirt, knocking her off her feet and bothering those around her. We had to cut her out, and now her skirt isn't that fluffy. The dress is still cute and mostly as pictured so I have no regrets going for it, but be aware that you should consider this dress a one-off.
