So I have a question in the Questions and Answers section of this blue liquid dripping product. I'll start with that. According to the manufacturer, a blue "Saran foil" is applied to the stainless steel before production. The protective film must be removed during production. It turns out that some of the blue on my device was not removed. More precisely between the black plastic and the steel cover. So the first few times this thing was heated, the film melted and dripped between the plastic and the stainless steel. Due to the way the lid sits, it did NOT drip into the oil but dripped onto my countertop. Now that I've used the fryer 7 or 8 times, the blue liquid no longer drips. Other than that (and nobody here seems to have had a problem with her so I'm pretty sure it's a coincidence) I have no complaints. It probably wouldn't be fair to give a full star due to an accident, but here it is. Heats up quickly and I like that it has a timer. I accidentally left another fryer on several times. With this you set the timer for how long you need to cook (or just 10-15 minutes if you are cooking multiple dishes/batches) and you don't have to worry about it.
