That's exactly what they say. Powerful trash cans for waiters. I bought these for my 4 prairie dogs to use as hay feed. I like that they are big and the hay stays in the cage. The plastic is very durable and although my prairie dogs chew on EVERYTHING they actually only bite a little and I think that's because the plastic is very hard. I'm pretty sure it's polyethylene as they advertise. The only thing I don't like is the grooves on the bottom. I understand their purpose. If you use them as intended, namely for splinting pelvises, then these projections are necessary. However using it as a hay basket is quite difficult when I have to clean it because of these combs but it's not the manufacturer's fault so I can't give them negative stars for that. Plus, it's a great deal for two bins. I've searched and searched and this is by far the best deal for the price.
