I'm a carpenter and I use this bag as a third bag to my western leather bags. This is an excellent bag. I use it to hold a wrench in one of the side sleeves and a hammer because it's always on the tip because I'm always high on the leading edge. It's deep enough to keep my hammer from dangling, hitting, or snagging on objects and strong enough to handle abusive work. I just wish it had a plastic insert in the rim to hold it open so it doesn't fold over from time to time and prevent me from sticking a hammer in for a few seconds.
