My 8 year old daughter has had so much fun with this kit. It was very easy for her to put together and she loved checking on it everyday for growth of the plants and watering them. Even her older brother has enjoyed checking on it everyday to see how much it’s grown. It came with more than enough dirt to fill the spaces for planting. I’ve been waiting to write this review until we had blooms but it’s not looking like we will have any. The plants have gotten very tall which makes an impressive garden. The fairy and owl are also adorable and she loves the light. There is a stand for the fairy but she can also be attached by a wire so she can "fly.” Overall a fun project that has been a hit here.
