Review on Verbatim MicroSDXC Memory Adapter 70393 by Gerson Lagerquist

Revainrating 5 out of 5

For the money I paid.

I bought this 512GB card at a time when it was significantly cheaper than all the other branded 512GB cards here at Revain. I'll say right away that the only downside is that this is a 500GB card, not 512GB. Anyway based on the price I paid this has been a great card so far. Sequential reading and writing was on par with branded cards. Random reads and writes were faster than any other branded card I own. These numbers are based solely on CrystalDiskMark benchmark results on my desktop computer, so they don't necessarily represent actual performance, but I was still very pleased to see good numbers. In practice, 115GB of audio files were transferred from the hard drive to this card in under 29 minutes when the card was loaded into a USB 3.0 adapter plugged into a USB 3.0 port on my desktop. For my purposes (which is only for storing and playing music files in the DAP) I had no problems with this card. However, I would still choose one of the "big 2" brands (or Silicon Power, which is my preference). I was lucky c) if all prices were the same or almost the same. I can't speak about the durability of this card, and the number of these cards is known. But on the other hand I paid significantly less for this card and for the moment I have no complaints.
