I unpacked it and immediately plugged it into my TV which was always a few steps away so I didn't care that it came like that not with remote control. I always manually turned it on when I needed it and turned it off when I was done. They were housed in this room for a year. My fiancé and I moved to our new house and I wanted to install them and all of a sudden they stopped working. In fact, I heard a rattling noise in the bass speaker. I peeked through the hole on the left side of the speaker and found that the main component that made everything work was completely ripped off. I thought long and hard about where to put this in the moving truck. Then I realized I never put it in a moving truck! He was safe in my car. It is impossible for this speaker to survive a traumatic move. Therefore, I was very angry that after a movement, everything suddenly broke. In the year it was installed in my computer room, I literally never moved it. It was unpacked, installed and put back in the same box it came in because I saved it, moved it, unpacked it, tested it and it broke. It gets two stars instead of one because it was of decent quality the year it ran. But now I see that this is a very cheap product that doesn't seem to stand up to being picked up and dropped a few times. SMS
