Little child involvement

I bought this for my 10 year old twins hoping they would have something to do while I work unsupervised. It says all parents have to do is melt the soap, but that doesn't tell you there's nothing else. Children choose a color and shape (fun for a few minutes), an adult melts the soap and pours it into the mold. Then wait at least half an hour for it to harden (my kids went to watch TV). I then struggled to get the soap out of the mold. The instructions didn't say to put it in the freezer so I waited over half an hour and couldn't get the soap to move. Another half hour in the freezer this time and it came out (my kids still watch TV). I call the kids back and we try to put a sticker on the soap (2 more minutes of fun). Soap stickers are similar to soap tattoos, but we couldn't get them to peel off the paper and stick to the soap. That's it, kids choose the color and shape, parents do the rest, wait and wait for the soap to set.
