Full disclosure, we did not return the racks because of design or quality defects but due to incompatibility with our disc brake bikes. Both of our bikes (Marin & Cinelli) have multiple attachment points for racks/mudguards etc. The Topeak Babyseat II disc mounts will not fit either bike. As far as I can tell these "disc mounts" come from a thicker, wider connection point on the rear hub, presumably to avoid conflict with the disc brakes. Unfortunately, these racks didn't fit our bikes due to the wider connection point. I'm scratching my head but I guess older bikes with disc brakes needed extra clearance but newer bikes don't? However, we sent the racks back and bought a discless version. Let's see if the discless version works. Based on the photos I think it will be like this. One thing that would be very helpful from Topeak and other manufacturers like Blackburn etc. is a detailed schematic drawing showing the dimensions of the racks. The diameter of the tube, the height and width of the top rack and most importantly the distance between the attachment points on the rear hub of the bike. Such dimensions would be very helpful in helping buyers determine compatibility before purchasing.
