Works as advertised.

Works great with a Topeak bike seat or as a regular bike mount on my 2009 Specialized Rockhopper mountain bike. Works great with disc brakes.

Pros
  • Weighs only 1.38 lbs
Cons
  • Good, but not great

Works great for sport

I use this rack for both the Topeak basket and the Topeak child seat. Holds both great. Mounting it on the bike is easy and I love that they made this available for bikes with disc brakes like mine.

Pros
  • Sturdy roof rack acts as a wing to deflect road spray
Cons
  • I vaguely remember

Easy Installation - Sport

This stand is perfect for my e-bike. It's almost like it was made for my bike. I also bought one for my wife's e-bike so now I can take my granddaughter on my bike and my wife can carry luggage on hers. Highly recommended.

Pros
  • Please see product information below for instruction manual
Cons
  • Not sure

Even the inept can cope with this work!

I have no experience with bike maintenance, repair or modification, but I was able to install this thing! and it was pretty easy, didn't take much time, and all I needed was a set of allen keys. My child likes to ride in the bicycle seat.

Pros
  • Weighs only 1.38 pounds
Cons
  • There are other interesting options.

We FINALLY have the right seat post

It took us 3 tries to get the right seat post. Topeak customer service informed us about this twice, even after sending several photos of our car seat. that our seat was child seat 1 and not child seat 2. Luckily my husband was confident enough, we just tried 2 racks and it works. But it wasn't with the yellow slide lock? I don't know if it should be. but we still can't use the place because we don't have it so it's frustrating!

Pros
  • Simple RedLight tail light mount
Cons
  • New competitors arrived

Will not fit two of our bikes, both with disc brakes

Full disclosure, we did not return the racks because of design or quality defects but due to incompatibility with our disc brake bikes. Both of our bikes (Marin & Cinelli) have multiple attachment points for racks/mudguards etc. The Topeak Babyseat II disc mounts will not fit either bike. As far as I can tell these "disc mounts" come from a thicker, wider connection point on the rear hub, presumably to avoid conflict with the disc brakes. Unfortunately, these racks didn't fit our bikes due to…

Pros
  • Aluminum tube rack compatible with disc brakes
Cons
  • Some imperfections
