Wonderful glassware set for the home. Note that these are 17-ounce glasses, just over a pint; The picture with ice cubes is misleading as they are huge ice cubes. They're taller and thinner than pint glasses, but don't let the name fool you, they're definitely not the size of the Tom Collins glass you might buy in a bar/restaurant. These are good, big, thick, and durable jars for the home. The bladder bottom is great, but don't expect it to be perfectly centered (in case that annoys you). It's a really thick heavy base so the glass feels very stable even when full. I had a couple of pint glasses from some brand of Target and they all ended up falling or tipping over and half of those falls were my fault. just not paying attention when I drank a full glass too close to the edge of the table. They're the same volume (plus an extra ounce) but are much stronger despite being over an inch taller. Which actually makes me reach "more down" for the glass and end up holding it much more carefully. Not that it's weird, but I honestly only wanted a pair of small glasses because I broke all the ones I had. , and I thought "Great, they seem to be priced right and should be good", but I actually realize how much more convenient and useful they are. They won't change your life (a jar probably shouldn't) but for $3 each (get 4 for $12) it's an amazing set. In conclusion I'd say they're pretty big for a party, but if it's like dinner or a dinner party and you like pint glasses for water or drinks they're fine. Although they are about 2 or 3 hands tall, they are large enough to carry while walking or standing.
