If you want some literal armor, that's great. These steel protectors are great for historical European and historical Persian martial arts, but they are definitely not historically accurate. If you need protection for work they seem very strong and durable. I definitely trust them and think they really are the best protection compared to regular steel toe boots. Because they're on the outside of the shoe/boot, your shoe/boot acts as cushioning/protection if you remember that in any way (your feet need room to keep from breaking). Most importantly, they look cool with boots. I plan to buy adidas shoes to move more freely and wear leg protection.
