Spend the extra money on a better machine

I had high hopes for this machine. My husband and I had another Sony Blu-Ray player that worked for over 5 years so when it started freezing we knew we wanted to get another Sony. When this unit arrived I liked the fact that it was a lot smaller than our last unit, but I did notice that the unit itself had no control buttons other than the power button, which means if we lose the remote (which I confess, sometimes happens), we had no other way to control the device. We didn't like that, but we decided that this was just one of the compromises. But once we started using the Blue-Ray player, namely the streaming capabilities, we found that was the least of our problems. The remote control works. You can't just push a button to do something because it doesn't work. In fact, sometimes you have to hold down the button for 5-10 seconds for it to respond. Otherwise you will fly with the arrow keys. For example, if you search Netflix and click in the right direction many times, it will loop through two or three spaces instead of the single space I intended. Remember I only pressed the button once. Also, the device CONSTANTLY freezes while streaming. I first assumed it was our internet but was able to discount it. It got to the point that my husband and I were tired of messing with this ridiculous car so we decided to return it. I'm not sure what we're getting for it, but I wanted to write this review so the buyer can be aware.
