Review on Modular Closet Organizer- LANGRIA 20 Cube Plastic Cabinet With Drawers And Doors, Cubby Shelving System For Storage Of Clothes, Shoes, Toys, Black And White, DIY Bookcase Wardrobe by Prince Burr

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Easy to put together and very stable

This is a nice unit. Easy to put together and more stable than I was expecting. I purchased the 20-cube organizer with doors as well as a 6-cube wire-frame organizer (also from LANGRIA -- all of their cube panels are interchangeable). I assembled the units using the wire-frame panels as the floor of each cube. I was able to build two units with a total of 25 cubes -- 5 without doors and two with plastic floors, since I ran out of wire-frame panels. I am using them as an extension to my kitchen pantry (I would not recommend this without the wire-frame floor panels due to weight issues). While it is fairly easy to snap everything together, it takes a bit of force to make sure the panels snap all the way into the connectors. A rubber mallet can help.As other reviewers have noted, the doors are not quite even. They work well enough, but if mounted to open sideways, some of them will have a tendency to stay open by 1/2 inch or so. Some of them can also overlap a bit with the doors above and/or below them causing them to tend to open together. The magnets help, but they are not very strong and you have to make sure they are placed so they contact the metal frame of the door when it's closed. Mine stay closed well enough, but I have to close them carefully to make sure they don't pop open again.Note that the plastic panels are not very rigid. They are listed as having a weight capacity of 10 lbs, but they will show noticeable flexing with as little as 1 lb. The wire-frame panels are listed as a capacity of 32 lbs. They are much more rigid and do not flex much at all -- except for the one I loaded down with 36 cans of Pepsi. :)Since these cubes are just snapped together, they can come apart if you start pulling on them. Because of this, I would recommend that you set it up in it's final location before putting anything in it. Once it is loaded down with stuff, trying to drag it around will probably result in some of the panels coming apart. Some people have recommended using zip ties to hold it together. This may give some extra security, but as long as you're not pushing and pulling on it, I don't think it is necessary. The plastic connectors should be plenty strong enough for normal use.I will probably be buying more of these cubes to use in other areas.
