really disappointed

I bought this monitor on December 8th 2019 and it arrived on the 14th. I had to return it by the 30th due to dead pixel issues and it took so long because the customer service really isn't up to scratch. I only returned my monitor on February 28th, 2020 and when I received it it came back with 2 dead pixels. SERIOUSLY not happy with it but would rather have the monitor rather than asking for another refund. Then I highly doubt this monitor is 1080p because the pixel density is so poor compared to my 29" ultrawide which is also 1080p. Anyone who has a 21:9 1080p monitor will tell you that a 24" 16:9 1080p monitor looks better because the pixels are closer together. No, in my case this monitor looks MUCH worse than my 21:9 monitor. If I had to bet I'd say it upscales the size from 900p to 1080p. AKA that's not 1080p. In terms of brightness, I had to crank up the brightness and gamma in every game I played because the dark areas of the games were so dark I couldn't even see them. For example, when I go into a cave or dungeon in Skyrim or The Witcher, I don't see anything. In some games like SKYRIM, brightness adjustment isn't even possible because the brightness doesn't even reach that high a level. Last but not least, the refresh rate is actually 144 Hz. This is the only plus of this monitor. Its 144 Hz. In my opinion this monitor is complete rubbish, the company behind it is complete rubbish and it is DEFINITELY NOT worth the $150 I spent. If you have the money, save an extra $50-$100 to get a monitor from brands like ASUS or ACER and go to hell with these low-cost suppliers. Because you really just roll the dice to see if you get what you paid for or not. Buy if you want, but in my EXPERIENCE this monitor should be discarded entirely. A 1080p 75hz monitor from ASUS for the same price is significantly more expensive.

Pros
  • I bought this 144Hz monitor but unfortunately it only shows up to 120Hz.
Cons
  • Unattractive design.
