I use this portable monitor as a second display with my 2017 MacBook Pro. The image quality and screen resolution are similar to a retina display on a Mac, making it easy to drag windows between screens without worrying about resizing. I use a monitor with 25% brightness. It is practical and the performance of the USB-C port is sufficient. 100% brightness requires additional power supply from the 2nd USB port. The screen cover is attached to the monitor with a magnet. That's enough protection when I carry the monitor in my backpack. It's light and thin. The monitor doesn't add much weight to the laptop.
