These are excellent headphones NOT because they sound incredible, but because they REALLY do exactly what they claim to be - extremely comfortable and extremely unobtrusive headphones for Sleep. The headphone body is miniaturized and rubberized, the unique flanges ensure a comfortable seal in the ear canal without creating pressure, and the cable has no additional reinforcements that create rigidity. So if you're looking for headphones to use while laying your head on a pillow, these could be the best you'll find, REGARDLESS OF THE COST. Now a few words about the sound. In short, sufficient. It's not amazing, but then again, it's $17, so what do you expect? But there are some real strengths here. These headphones have predictably weak bass, given the small 6mm driver. However, unlike some cheap headphones, they don't sound muffled, so weak low frequencies can be greatly improved with a reasonable EQ to create a decent listening experience. When the headphones are hollow or muted there isn't much you can do even with the EQ because the void is hollow. So are there other headphones that sound as good or maybe even better for the same money? How good, almost certainly. Better maybe. But... but... are there other headphones as comfortable as these, which can be worn to bed and placed in the ear with a pillow and still be comfortable? I strongly doubt it. For bed use, this is a 100% winner. Final note: I've tried these and several other headphones on phone calls, and people on the other end have consistently said they can hear me better with them than with several other headphones I've tried on the same calls. . So another plus.
