Disappointing and Unreliable Clutch Tool

Based on my observations, this tool is flimsy and has failed to remove clutch plates on multiple occasions. The build quality is not up to par and feels cheap.

What are A/C Clutch Removal Tools good for?

The OEM 27005 clutch disc puller looked like a good tool, too bad it didn't fit any of my Chevy trucks. The size of the thread is not specified, it says on the packaging that it is suitable for Ford.
