That's what they call Shoei GT-Air helmet cheek pads. The GT-Air is available in different "sizes" from XS to XXL, but the secret is that there are only three sizes of the actual helmet shell and the remaining sizes are made with different grades of inner padding thickness. For me, the XL helmet (which uses the largest of the three shell sizes) fitted my skull perfectly (I have a "Shoei Head" and have worn their flip-front helmet line for years), but the cheek pads were pinched my skull. Cheeks and jaw too much. That's where these pads come in. The XL version of the helmet comes with 35mm cheek pads (which will fit all sizes S to XL). However, the XXL version of the helmet comes with 31mm cheek pads. They are 4mm thinner on each side which would give a bit more room across the cheek and jaw. So with these pads I have a helmet that fits my skull shape and size perfectly, is comfortable and doesn't flatten my face. Installation was fairly easy - the old pads slide out very easily by pulling on the Shoei made tabs. in them (which is actually a nice feature if EMS ever has to take your helmet off to avoid crushing your neck by a ton) and the new ones put back on in the same spot. I had to play around with this to get all the tabs aligned properly, but once they're inserted you won't know they didn't come out that way. It's good that Shoei has them for sale for those of us who want a perfectly fitting helmet. They're worth the money if you have a slightly thicker jaw and cheek.
