Good speakers are best in speakers

These speakers sound pretty good for general purposes. I received these speakers for use on my patio/deck. So far I've heard them indoors and they sound pretty good. I'll have to come back in a year or two and give feedback on how they handle the weather. One of the reasons I got them was so they could be removed from the mount and stored indoors over the winter. The attachment system works pretty well for this. There have been some complaints in online reviews that the connectors on these speakers are too narrow to fit a banana plug. I found this to be true and it looks like they added a plug to cover the end hole on the mounting post so you don't have to try. The lid is removable, but because of the corner and the case, you still can't put the banana plug in the end. You can stick a banana plug through the side of the stem and tighten the stem, but that's not ideal. (see pictures). I'm just going to use some bare wire connections and maybe add some solder to the end to keep the wires from fraying. Overall I like the speakers, I would buy them again.

Pros
  • Install your Atrium 6 speakers in any large or open space - poolside, patio, conservatory, lobbies or office space. They produce an EXCEPTIONALLY GREAT SOUND OUTSIDE OR INSIDE, no matter where you place them.
Cons
  • Some difficulties
