Also check out my video review above. So I bought this Superfect 16 inch 2k portable monitor and wanted to share my thoughts. Although the dimensions are close to a full-size laptop, it weighs just a few times less. Something like this really gives you a few extra options for your laptop, your phone or tablet, or your gaming system. You can use it as a secondary monitor or as a standalone display. By the way, you can also install it on a stand at home because this model I got has VESA holes. What strikes me the most is that the panel itself has a matte finish, so unlike most displays which are glossy to some extent, it's non-reflective and pretty hard to see unless you're inside dark. The downside to this is that the colors don't pop out like they would on a glossy screen, but I don't mind that. Second is the brightness of 500 nits, which is well above average for monitors. I mainly looked at 250 to 400 nits. It seems to me that at 2k resolution, the resolution is just great, it's 2560 x 1600. Although I like the 4k option, 2k is the best place for this size. Now let me mention a few things that you can take care of. When I opened the monitor and plugged it in, the settings weren't right. So if you decide to buy it, don't be intimidated the first time you turn it on. I had to change the settings to keep the colors from looking washed out and I used my laptop with an OLED panel as a reference. On the video you can see my monitor and my laptop side by side. Keep in mind that this panel doesn't match my laptop's OLED screen colors 100% 100%, but as you can see it doesn't look bad in any way. When you connect this monitor to a laptop or PC, enough power goes over USB-c to power the monitor from your computer without using an external power supply, with the caveat that you're running it at 1080p. If you want a good, flicker-free 2k experience, you'll need to connect your monitor to the included external power supply. By the way, instead of USB-c, you can use a full-size HDMI cable. Keys are not required. So in my opinion, this monitor is an all-round package at a good price. If you're a big movie fan, you can compare this monitor to a QLED panel monitor, but it costs a lot more and has a glossy screen. If you are looking for a monitor for both work and play then this might be the one for you as it is made to fit the bill. Text is crisp and colors are okay if you don't mind playing around with the settings a bit. It's also great as a second monitor. If you program a lot I would just mount it vertically on my desk.
