Review on 🦖 Tamashii Nations Godzilla Biollante SH MonsterArts Figure by Mido Taylor

I really like this figure. I bought it and it arrived a day early. At just $95, it was a steal considering the $1,000 Biollante (I'll buy the special color version because it's cooler and cheaper). It looked very nice out of the box. The on-screen sculpting was accurate and the paint jobs were great too. What I immediately noticed was that the paint color was different than the original. The prototype was black, but the figure I received was medium grey. While the articulation is good, there are some downsides. 1. Short. I measured it and it was about 4-6 inches compared to the 6-7 inches 2014 Godzilla. Well, some of the numbers on the show don't match the size. 1954 is about the same size as 2014 and the third Oran figure is larger than Godzilla Earth, but the Biogoji is accurate. Bio Goji was 80 meters and in 2014 around 110 meters. 2. tail. It was assumed that it would have multiple moving segments. I was expecting a lot more but found the combs were part of group 1 so the tail had limited articulation. A crest at the base of the tail is sloppy and can be rotated a full 360 without even stopping. 3. Mouth. Be extra careful with your mouth. It's ball-jointed like the 2019 figure, but easier to remove. If you use too much force, it will fall off and it will be difficult to put it back in. 4. Legs and circles on the legs. When I move my legs, the circular knives usually get stuck and I can't get them in the right place. Also, the left leg moves backwards well, but not forwards. The right leg moves well forward, but not backward. I could take the foot off to apply dish soap to the joint, but I wouldn't risk taking the foot off and dropping the circle just to not come back. In general I like the character but more articulation could be added.
